MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT
Hi all, I want to start out by thanking all those who have continued to engage with and support the club through this shutdown period.

Through coming along to our monthly Leather Mob dinners at the Sportsman’s; renewing memberships or just posting and commenting on our social media pages you have kept us ticking along until we can reopen.

At the most recent leather mob dinner we had the opportunity to do a few announcements. Firstly, the launch of Black and Blue in Brisbane: Bootco – A History by Tim Roberts and presentation to one of our founding members Max Le Marchand.

Secondly, the announcement of our Mr Queensland Leather 2020 Stephen Mackenzie. Stephen was the runner up in the 2019 competition and has been a great representative for our club and in the wider kink community.

A big thank you to Christopher Dadson, MQL2019, for a great title year and all he has done for the club.

As we did not have a runner up last year, QLB 2019 Shane Stevens will be carrying on his title this year.

You will get to hear more from our titleholders in a full length newsletter coming soon.

Yours in Leather,
Cyll Duncan
BootCo. President.

Black and Blue in Brisbane: Boot Co. – A History

Taken from archival sources and interviews with members of our community, this book not only provides a history of Boot Co, but also a wider history of leather culture in Brisbane and how key events from around the world have influenced us. In covering Boot Co. from its formation in 1990 through to the present day you will see how our club has embraced tradition and change while still maintaining a strong sense of community.
